Usually, when the physical body dies, the spirit transitions to the afterlife without complications. The spirit then moves on to its next life, while loved ones mourn their departure and establish a new norm without them. However, when for various reasons the spirit fails to transition successfully to the afterlife, it remains stuck among the living.
While the spirit lingers near physical bodies without crossing over, it starts to lose energy, and its survival instinct kicks in. The spirit realizes that it needs more energy to survive and decides to siphon energy from a living person by attaching itself to their body or energetic field.
When this occurs, the person may start experiencing fatigue, intense unexplained negative emotions, depression, anxiety, and fear. Alternatively, they may engage in destructive behavioral issues such as substance abuse, eating disorders, acts of violence, and more.
Unfortunately, those surrounding the affected person may notice changes in behavior but cannot understand what is causing the problem. At first glance, nothing seems to have changed, yet they can barely recognize their loved one. This can lead to significant conflicts, tension, isolation, and misunderstandings unless the expertise of a professional is sought.
